Chair, John Valeriote overwhelmed with generosity for new civic museum
The fundraising campaign for the new civic museum being built in the Loretto convent has already surpassed its $500,000 goal by more than $200,000.
“It has been tremendously successful, and continues to be,” said lawyer John Valeriote, chair of the museum’s capital campaign. “The sign of a great campaign is people who want to continue to contribute.” The campaign, which will likely wrap up in a month or so, has already raised more than $700,000, he said.
“I’m just overwhelmed with the generosity of people,” Valeriote said in an interview Wednesday.
