Akash is a Summer Student at SV Law. He just finished his first year of law school at the University of Toronto, where he is enrolled in the JD/MPP combined program.
Akash recently graduated from Western University with a BA (Hons.) in PPE (politics, philosophy, and economics), specializing in economics. He was a National President’s Scholar and Gold Medalist, and was also a part of the Scholar’s Electives Program, a selective interdisciplinary research program. Through this program, Akash had the opportunity to conduct research on collective action problems and Bayesian mechanism design.
Prior to joining SV Law, Akash worked at Delphic Research, a start-up GR agency, as well as several think-tanks, including the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. At law school, Akash is involved in the Students’ Law Society, the Faculty of Law Review and Journal of Law & Equality, and the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights. Additionally, Akash is researching Indian electoral law and the right to effective government alongside two constitutional law professors at the University of Toronto.
Outside of the office, Akash enjoys playing sports (particularly tennis), travelling with his family, and learning how to cook…slowly, but surely! He is happy to be back in his hometown, Guelph.
