Ben is a current Summer Student and future Articling Student here at SV Law.
Ben will obtain his law degree from Western University in the spring of 2024. During law school, he has participated in several moot court competitions, including the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot Competition. He is also involved in helping local businesses that would otherwise have no access to legal advice as a caseworker at Western’s IP Legal Clinic. As a summer student, Ben is gaining a broad exposure to all the areas of law that SV Law offers.
Prior to law school, he completed his Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physics at Wilfrid Laurier University. During his undergrad, Ben worked as a research assistant, researching fiber optic technologies. He also worked as a teaching assistant for physics lectures. After undergrad, Ben took some time off from his studies to work at the Toronto office of an international geophysics company as a Project Scientist.
Outside of work, Ben is a fan of mixed martial arts competition, tinkering with small electronics, camping in Ontario’s provincial parks, staying in shape, and spending time with his pet cat, Hansel.
Ben was raised in Guelph and is excited to return to his hometown to serve his community as an articling student.
