SV Law is a full-service law firm, proudly serving the legal needs of South-Western Ontario, from our offices located in the City of Guelph and the town of Elora. A firm of nearly forty lawyers, SV Law has experienced demonstrated growth and a steady diversification of practice areas, while maintaining a collegial work environment that supports professional and personal balance.
At SV Law, our student programs provide students the opportunity to prepare for the practice of law by working in a supportive and collegial environment. Whether you are a summer student or an articling student, you will work closely with our lawyers on challenging and interesting files that will help you to broaden your skills and knowledge. You will be exposed to a variety of areas of legal practice with opportunities available in Business Law, Civil Litigation, Condominium Law, Corporate/Commercial Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Municipal Law, Real Estate, Tax Litigation and Wills & Estates.
We provide a robust mentorship program in which you will be paired with a lawyer at our firm who ensures you are exposed to a variety of practice areas and experiences, who provides you guidance and support, and who is dedicated to your development and growth.
We also highly encourage our students to build connections with colleagues, to attend firm social events, and to get involved in our community.
