Summer Students
SV Law is a full service law firm, proudly serving the legal needs of South-Western Ontario, from our offices located in the City of Guelph and the town of Elora. A firm of just over thirty lawyers, SV Law has experienced demonstrated growth and a steady diversification of practice areas, while maintaining a collegial work environment that supports professional & personal balance.
Each summer SV Law hires a minimum of one (1) to a maximum of five (5) summer students. Candidates must be in their second year of legal studies at a duly accredited Canadian law school, have demonstrated strong academic accomplishments while displaying a commitment to one’s community. The successful candidate(s) shall be exposed to a wide range of areas of legal practice, with opportunities available in civil litigation, real estate, corporate-commercial law, business law, condominium law, criminal defence, family law, wills & estates and municipal law. The summer term shall commence in the month of May until the end of August.
In keeping with the LSO Recruitment Procedures, we will begin accepting applications in September/October of each year, and will update our website and advertise with the various law schools at that time.

Articling Students
Students applying for the 2024/2025 Articling Term.

A firm of nearly 40 lawyers, SV Law has experienced demonstrated growth and a steady diversification of practice areas, while maintaining a collegial work environment that supports professional and personal balance.
During each Articling term, we typically hire 1 to 5 Articling Students. The Articling term generally commences on August 1st and continuing until May 31st. The successful candidate(s) will be exposed to a wide range of law, with rotations available in civil litigation, real estate, corporate-commercial law, condominium law, criminal defence, family law, wills & estates, and municipal law. SV Law offers a competitive benefits and remuneration package.
Following the LSO recruitment process for locations outside Toronto and Ottawa, we are accepting applications until May 17, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Interviews will be held on or around May 29, 2023, and offers will be presented on June 1, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
