Corporate Law Clerk

About the Opportunity:

As a successful candidate you will have a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years experience in a corporate role. This experience should include preparing articles of incorporation, amendment, amalgamation, dissolution and revival, the preparation of resolutions and transactional documentation, registering business names, conducting corporate searches, and preparing annual resolutions. You must also be skilled at scheduling a busy lawyer’s calendar and performing various other administrative and clerk related tasks associated with a partner’s busy corporate practice.

You will have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, all of which will assist you in working in this fast-paced environment. About the Opportunity:

As the successful candidate you will have a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role. Your primary responsibilities will include, being the first point of contact for clients, calendar management, digital and physical file maintenance, composing correspondence, drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney, assisting with execution of Wills and Powers, invoicing and reporting, assisting with intake for estates, data entry in Estateably, and providing general administration support within the Will and Estate Practice Group. You will also provide general

administrative support within the office as needed.

Condominium Development Clerk

About the Opportunity:

Interested in taking on a new challenge? Every wondered how a condominium gets created ? If so, SV Law has an exciting opportunity with a supportive team and extensive training provided

Your primary responsibility in this position would be working with the CPG Development team in all aspects of condominium development. Your role will entail drafting of condominium documents; assisting with condition fulfillment; registering required easements or other documents; handling communications from planners, surveyors, engineers/architects, Registry Office/other government representatives, and clients; and assisting with interim occupancies and final closings following registration of a condominium. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel), Teraview, Conveyancer/Unity and PC Law are used on a regular basis. Knowledge of the Condominium Act and experience with preparing/registering of various documentation in Teraview are considered an asset. Full in-house training will be provided.

About You:

As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a real estate clerk. Experience with Condo development is an asset, but not required. You will have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, all of which will assist you in working in this fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an asset for dealing effectively with clients, lawyers and professionals in the interests of our clients.
