Marni is a member of SV Law's Employment Practice Group, Civil Litigation Practice Group, and Condominium Law Practice Group.
As a highly skilled employment lawyer, Marni advises on employment contracts and policies, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints, health and safety matters, workplace investigations, and related issues. Her strategic approach and in-depth knowledge of the law have led to numerous favourable outcomes for her clients both inside and outside the courtroom.
Marni is an effective advisor and negotiator and strives for prompt resolution of legal disputes where possible. When early resolution is not achievable, she is fully prepared to advocate for her clients’ interests through formal litigation.

Marni’s clients include public-sector and institutional clients, condominium corporations, small businesses, startups, and multinational companies across a wide range of industries. She works closely with each client to understand their business, anticipate potential risks, and provide tailored legal strategies that protect their interests and support their goals. Known for her strategic insight and approachable style, Marni helps clients navigate complex workplace challenges with confidence and clarity.
Condominiums and Property Management Firms
Marni regularly represents and advises property management firms and condominium corporations that employ building superintendents and other maintenance staff. As a member of SV Law’s Condominium Law Practice Group, she is familiar with the unique issues that arise in these workplaces and works collaboratively with boards of directors and property management teams to proactively manage risk and resolve workplace issues and disputes.
Executive Employees
Marni also provides advice and representation to executive employees regarding various aspects of the employment relationship, including employment contracts and offers, wrongful dismissals, bonus concerns, promotions, resignations, retirements, and other employment-related matters.
Community Involvement
An active community volunteer, Marni serves on the Board of Big Brother Big Sisters of Guelph.
Originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Marni has called Guelph home since 2005 and is proud to live and work in the community. Outside of her practice, she enjoys playing tennis, painting, and spending time with her family.
