SV Law COVID-19 Response updated March 19, 2020
Dear clients, contacts and friends:
The current coronovirus (COVID-19) pandemic has thrown us all into uncharted waters. For however long this lasts and for however long we are in those uncharted waters, the health and safety of all our team members, all of our clients and all of our colleagues will remain our top priority.
In light of the recent announcements by various government authorities and recognizing that we all have a responsibility to "flatten the curve" we have made the decision, effective today at 5:00pm Thursday, March 19, 2020, to temporarily close both of our offices to the public for the foreseeable future. Many of our team members are currently working remotely and we have made significant technological investments to ensure that we can continue to provide you, our community, with excellent and seamless service.
Even though our physical offices are closed, we continue to be able to provide you with the highest level of client service possible. In that regard we continue to be able to "meet" you by telephone or video conferencing and we encourage you to share documents with us electronically. I would ask you to communicate with your firm contact to determine how the sharing of documentation can be facilitated.
Even though we will strive to maintain a "business as usual" approach, COVID-19 is forcing all of us to adopt new ways of providing services and conducting business and we will be there to help you every step of the way in adopting to these new ways.
WILL and POWER OF ATTORNEY Clients
Even though our offices are closed to the public, we recognize that some of our clients may be concerned about ensuring that their affairs are in order and in that regard, we will permit clients who need to execute Wills and Powers of Attorney to attend at our offices upon passing a screening test for the strictly limited purpose of executing their Wills and Powers of Attorney.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt as necessary but, for the foreseeable future, our offices will necessarily be closed to the public.
All of us working together will navigate through these unprecedented times and all of us here at SV Law hope that you, and those around you, stay healthy and safe.
