Chris practices exclusively in the Municipal and Planning Law practice group.

He was called to the bar in 2020 and previously practiced municipal and planning law at a full-service firm in Waterloo representing both public and private sector clients before the Ontario Land Tribunal. He provides advice on all aspects of municipal law including drafting and review of development, site plan, and subdivision agreements, as well as a wide variety of municipal issues such as the drafting and review of by-laws, development charges, aggregate, heritage matters, drainage, stormwater/wastewater, roads, as well as resolving historical title issues. He has also assisted with various stages of expropriation proceedings for public and private sector clients.

Chris was raised in Brantford and received a swimming scholarship to attend Auburn University. He concluded his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto where he led the Toronto Varsity Blues to the 2013 National Championship. Chris is a Canadian National Record Holder and member of the Canadian National Swim Team representing Canada internationally at the World Aquatic Championships, World University Games, and World Cups.

Chris attended the University of New Brunswick where he earned a Juris Doctorate in 2019. As a law student, he participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law Moot and volunteered with the Miramichi Salmon Association. While in law school, he worked as the Summer Law Student for the County of Brant.

Chris is a board member and swim coach with Special Olympics Brantford as well as participates in habitat restoration projects with the Trout Unlimited Canada – Middle Grand Chapter.

Outside of work, you can find him in the water swimming, paddling his canoe or fly fishing for trout and Atlantic salmon throughout Ontario and eastern Canada.
