Juakatha is an associate at the Guelph and Elora offices, practicing in all areas of employment law. Her work spans human rights matters, wrongful dismissal defence litigation, employment standards, and employment contracts. She is a dedicated advocate with a strong litigation background, representing clients before both civil courts and employment-related tribunals.
Juakatha earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020 and her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2023. During law school, she volunteered as a caseworker at the Community Advocacy and Legal Centre, supporting low-income clients across a range of legal issues.
Before joining the firm, Juakatha articled at a respected criminal defence firm in Kitchener-Waterloo, where she sharpened her oral advocacy and litigation skills. She also completed a summer term at a prominent mid-sized, full-service firm in Hamilton, gaining broad experience across multiple practice areas, including labour and employment law.
